City Pulse Festival

More music than you can shake a stick at was the order of the day on the May bank holiday weekend in Nottingham, with not one but two festivals next door to each other, in the form of the free City Pulse festival on the Old Market Square and the Dot to Dot festival across most of the other venues in town.

City Pulse saw all sorts of artists, ranging from local talent like Nephu Huzzband to teen heart throbs Elliot Minor. Spread over three days the music was pretty varied and as well as the guitar laden crowd pullers there was a tasty selection of world music, jazz, skiffle, folk and some fantastic samba. Its not many city’s who lay on this kind of thing for nowt!

The City Pulse festival took place in Nottingham’s Old Market Square and other city centre locations from Saturday 24th to Monday 26th May 2008.
