Firewalk
Nottingham Royal Society for the Blind ran a fund raising firewalk held at the National Water Sports Centre on Friday 11th July. Only one woman burned her feet, inspiring stuff.
It was a tricky one as for the walk itself most of the lights were shut down so you could see the embers. Add billowing smoke, soot and nervous folk running about in the dark and you’ve got yourself a right handful, fortunately a fixed focus area on the embers and some off camera flash did the trick. I might have a dabble m’self at their next event.
